How ridiculous is that? If every time we feel excluded or unimportant it leaves us feeling inadequate, what does that say about our self worth? The way I see it is we're left with 2 choices: We can ask "why wasn't I invited? Why don't they want my opinion? Why don't they want me to help with that project?" until we feel so small that we don't want to have anything to do with the people/person who caused those feelings OR we can tell say "I'm important to my Savior and the people that love me, and that's enough for me."
From now on, I'm going to do my absolute best to stick with option #2 because it's my honest opinion that the best kind of happiness is the kind that no one else can take away! Besides, who needs to be a part of the "in" crowd when most of the fun seems to happen on the sidelines?
