Do you ever look at your child in the midst of a busy day and your heart unexpectedly explodes with love? That's what happened to me today. Felicity brought me one of her baby dolls and said "here ya go mommy" and as I looked down at her I couldn't believe she was mine and I was overwhelmed with just how quickly she has grown and is continuing to do so. I had to take a picture so I'd never forget how she looked in that moment. Then I stopped doing laundry and played with her because it was suddenly all too clear to me that I won't get to do that for nearly as long as I'd like to. Soon after I started playing with her she informed me, in true Felicity fashion, that her Elmo was indeed hers and was not for mommy's enjoyment. I let this particular "mine" episode slide for the sake of enjoying her company without having to get onto her. Besides, there's always tomorrow to cause her baby world to crash down around her with actual discipline, right?
