I've been fighting some sort of bug for a little over a week now, but when I woke up this morning it was clear that it had gone into full blown "hurts to move, sound is the devil" mode. Thankfully, I married up. My sweet husband turned Elmo on for our daughter (who is also under the weather) and got her breakfast before he left for work, which meant I had about 30 extra minutes to get myself together this morning.
It wasn't enough.
I came out of the bedroom to find she had tossed her cereal bar all over the floor. About the time I bent down to pick up said bar was about the time I realized I was going to toss a few things myself. Bad news; I started my day out with a good puking session. Good news; the day can only get better from here.
The truth is I'm blessed to be a mommy and I will happily serve my family and my home with a grateful heart, even on the days my stomach and head refuse to follow in suit. However, this doesn't mean I don't get overwhelmed or start feeling overburdened, because I do. On the regular. I wouldn't change a single thing about this beautiful life God has given me, but I'm human, which means I have a flawed disposition that I have to go to battle with on a daily basis (thanks a lot Eve). Today is just one of the more difficult days. That's okay though; I have plenty of armor. In case you're feeling a little overburdened today as well, here are some of my favorite encouraging bible verses.
Take a deep breath today. Embrace whatever circumstances you're dealing with. Laugh. Play. Learn. Enjoy yourself. Have an amazing Tuesday.

- For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, “Do not fear. I will help you.” (Isaiah 41:14)
- The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18)
- He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. (Isaiah 40:29)
- The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.” (Psalm 34:17)
