I have a love/hate relationship with Halloween in the sense that I love pumpkin patches and dressing up, but I hate all things scary and/or tacky, which is basically everything this time of year. However, I've found there are a few (non-scary) things that my family and I enjoy every year and I've compiled them into a neat list just in case you're looking for some ideas yourself!
1. PUMPKIN PATCHES
This is obvious, but still our absolute favorite. Justin and I are both kids at heart and enjoyed going to the different pumpkin patches together long before Miss Felicity came along, but we do get less weird looks now that she's in tote! There are several great pumpkin patches in the area, but our absolute favorite is Applejack Pumpkin Patch in Augusta. Pro: They truly have something for everyone and you could easily spend the majority of the day there! Con: It's pricey. It'll cost you a pretty penny to enjoy everything they have to offer, but I assure you it's well worth it!

2. THE HALLOWEEN LIGHTS ON DAVID STREET
They do an annual Christmas light display too, but why wait to enjoy all the awesome they're serving up? It's completely free and I promise both you and your kiddos will love it! Going on now through Halloween.

3. HALLOWEEN HULLABALOO IN DERBY
There will be trick or treating, carnival games, music, food, and more...and the best part? IT'S FREE! It will be at High Park in Derby on Saturday Oct. 24th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

HONORABLE MENTIONS:
Cowtown will be putting on Hay, Hooves, and Halloween now through Halloween, several churches in and around Wichita are doing trunk or treat events that are free to the community, and last but not least, Hotel Transylvania 2 is out in theaters now as well! The first one was adorable and the second looks even better, so grab your kiddos and enjoy some nice family time while watching a fun and festive movie!
I hope everyone has a fabulous and safe Halloween!
