1. The thought of getting all dolled up makes you want to nap.
I would do (almost) anything to get out of having to put on real clothes these days. Once I've showered, gotten dressed, and done my hair and makeup I literally feel like I need to take an afternoon siesta.
2. The smell of flowers induces nausea.
I actually don't like the smell of flowers anytime, but when I'm pregnant potent flowers (like roses), which are common for Valentine's Day are likely to make me toss my cookies.
3. A night "out on the town" is sure to be followed by a morning of pain and foot soaking.
For instance, we went junking this afternoon (my favorite) and I'm actually soaking my feet as I type. Can you imagine what kind of damage any real activity would do?
4. Your favorite chocolates are a serious threat to your gestational diabetes.
Diabetes is never fun, but diabetes while pregnant is horrific. Needless to say chocolates won't be on the menu this year.
5. You book a couples massage, but ask for a separate room to shield your husband from the sounds that are bound to occur from your round ligament pain.
Listening to your loved one scream in pain tends to take the relaxing quality out of things.
6. There's a good chance your husband will be holding your hair back, but it's not because you drank too much wine at dinner.
I rarely suffer from nausea this go around, but there's always a chance the night will end this way.
7. No restaurant can live up to your standards because you just want fries dipped in gravy followed by a bowl of cereal.
Seriously. What's a girl gotta do to get some fries with a side of gravy and a bowl of Special K?
8. Your idea of the perfect gift for your husband is going a whole evening without complaining about how miserable you are.
I'm fairly certain this is what my hubby's getting this year, unless you count the little miracle I'm growing, of course ;)
